In "My Torch Shall Guide Me", Alexandra draws inspiration from the Special Olympians. In her own words: "When I was working on this - I was thinking the Special Olympians have to have something to guide them - their love to compete. I was thinking the torch is an encouragement for them. the figure is holding the torch - he's looking at it thankfully for what it's done. It's a feeling inside - it's the same feeling when I paint. In the second donated work, Victorius Spirit, she again draws on the spirit of the Special Olympics. "I am so impressed by the Special Olympians' spirit - even though they may not win their event, they are trying. It's a matter of loving doing it - you have fun. I wasn't just thinking of sports. The hair is the flame for the torch" value: $1,700.00

"The eyes have always been the most important feature of the face, reflecting the inner qualities and spiritual qualities. I paint my deepest emotions and I've portrayed them in the face of a child. Those eyes were so big and questioning. Like, why is there so much sorrow in the world?".

A re-creation of an original drawing by Theodor Seuss Giesel, The Cat in the Hat, has been donated by The Chase Group. Artisans, some of who have worked with the most notable talent in the art world, employ a process called hand pulled lithography to faithfully bring Dr. Seuss' works to life. The printmakers use restored, French-made Marinoni Voirin lithograph presses dating back to the 1840s similar to those used by Cheret, Lautrec and Mucha. Painstakingly recreated by hand, this lithograph was pulled one color at a time and is printed on archival Rives paper imported from France.
